Quiet the mind

How do I silence my mind so that I listen only to what the Center tells me?
The mind speaks when your attention listens. Therefore, whenever you notice that your attention has shifted to thought, bring your attention back to the Center of your Center. If I were to ask you now to focus your attention on your index finger and observe it closely to see every detail, what would happen?
That I see the details of my index finger…
… and you are not listening to the thought, because your attention is focused on grasping the details of your index finger.
Is that clear to you?
Yes.
Now, when you go to the Center of your Center, direct your attention there—to the Center of your Center. The first question that will spring to mind is: “And where is the Center of my Center?” But bring your attention back there, because You (your unincarnated self) know it perfectly well. So, go to the Center of your Center.
You do not need to know where it is—firstly because it is not a physical place, and secondly because You Are at the Center of your Center. So, have no doubts and go to the Center of your Center. What happens?
Well, I’ve done these exercises before, and let’s say what I saw was light emanating from the Center, an expansion in that sense.
Fine. Now let go of everything you have experienced: the only moment that exists is Here and Now. So, what allows you to listen to your inner depths is focusing your attention. Whenever you are distracted by a thought, a pain, or an emotion, acknowledge it with gratitude and return to the Center. This is your practice.
Do not rush, but do not stop: gradually…
… yes, but …
… you will realize that you have an increasing capacity to remain silent. And once you have the capacity to remain silent, you will begin to let your answers emerge.
Is that clear to you?
Yes. I identify the Center as the Heart… Is this my Center?
Is this your Center? You see, you still seek confirmation—from a voice other than your own—of what you know, what you perceive, and what you feel deep within. For even though the Voice you hear is yours, you perceive it as external; you do not listen to what comes from inside you, but instead feel the need for a “savior” to tell you, “Yes, that’s right: do this…” or “It’s better if you do that…”
I will not tell you this, for the Voice you perceive through Lucia’s voice resonates within you: listen to it.
