In the Communication of the Absolute<\/span>
\n(or Communication of Evidence)<\/span>
\nit is the dog that speaks to us of the thought<\/span>
\nthat accompanies our Path.<\/span><\/p>\n

As soon as he was created, the Dog licked God’s hand, and God stroked his head.
\n\u00ab What do you want, Dog? \u00bb<\/span>
\n\u00ab My God, I would like to stay with you, in heaven, on the mat in front of the door \u00bb.<\/span>
\n\u00abWe’d better not!\u00bb<\/span> said God. \u00ab I don’t need a dog, as I have not yet created thieves \u00bb<\/span>.
\n\u00ab When will you create them, Lord? \u00bb<\/span>
\n\u00ab Never. I’m tired. I’ve been working for five days, it’s time for me to rest. There you are, you, Dog, my finest creature, my masterpiece. I’d better stop here. It’s not good for an artist to overdo his inspiration, If I continued to create, I’d be a failure. Go, Dog! Go at once and populate the earth. Go, and be happy \u00bb<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The Dog let out a deep sigh:
\n\u00ab What shall I do on earth, Lord? \u00bb<\/span>
\n\u00ab Well, you will eat, drink, sleep, grow and multiply\u00bb<\/span>.
\nThe Dog sighed more sadly still.
\n\u00abWhat more do you need? \u00bb<\/span>
\n\u00abYou, Lord, my Master! Couldn’t you also settle on earth? \u00bb<\/span>
\n\u00ab No \u00bb<\/span>, said God, \u00ab no, Dog! I assure you, I cannot possibly settle on earth to keep you company. I have much more to do. This sky, these angels, these stars, I assure you, give me a lot of trouble. \u00bb<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The Dog lowered his head and made to leave, but then turned back: \u00ab If only, my God, there was some kind of master of your kind down there…. \u00bb<\/span>
\n\u00ab No \u00bb<\/span>, said God, \u00ab there is none \u00bb<\/span>..
\nThe Dog made himself small, low, and begged even closer: \u00ab If you would, dear Lord… You could always try…\u00bb<\/span>
\n\u00ab Impossible\u00bb<\/span>, replied God. \u00ab I have done what he did. My work is done. Never shall I create a better being than you. If I were to create another today, I feel it in my right hand, that one would fail me…. \u00bb<\/span>
\n\u00ab O Lord Good God \u00bb<\/span>, pleaded the Dog, \u00ab it doesn’t matter that it is badly done, as long as I can follow him wherever he goes, and lie down at his feet when he stops\u00bb<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Then God was filled with wonder at having created such a good creature, and said to the Dog:
\n\u00ab Go’! and let it be done according to your heart \u00bb<\/span>.
\nAnd, returning to his laboratory, he created Man.
