Living orientated towards the new

I had a dream: I dreamt I was drowning and my father tried to save me. After that, it was as if I were viewing the scene from the outside, yet I could also sense my father’s anguish and his resignation as he searched for me in vain, realizing, as he did, that nothing more could be done. And so, from outside my own body, I perceived his resignation. After that, I continued to sense my mother’s feelings, she refused to accept what had happened and kept searching for me. Then I saw where my body lay at the bottom of the sea. The most gruesome sight was my body decomposing. Yet, this caused me no despair; I felt nothing. When I woke up, one thing I remember clearly was seeing my body decomposing at the bottom of the sea, covered in white larvae; yet, I felt no sense of anguish or fear. Even though the dream was truly unsettling, in earthly terms, it felt liberating to me. So, although it involved death, I didn’t find it disturbing; instead, I knew it held a significant meaning, a profound message, for me. That is why I am here now to ask You for some insight into this.

The death of the physical body in the sea [Editor’s note: which, in the Language of Evidence, speaks to us of the Absolute, of the Whole], the decomposition, and your observation of the physical body’s transformation serve as an indication that you are becoming aware that you are not your body, that you are the sea and are returning to the sea.

However, the dream also points to the need for you to die to the attachment that keeps you stubbornly seeking what already exists in the earthly realm, which represents your mother’s attitude [Editor’s note: indeed, in the Language of Evidence, the mother speaks to us of the concrete aspects of the earthly dimension], and to let go of the resignation regarding your sense of direction [Editor’s note: the father]; for in the phase of the Path you are currently traversing, it is as if you have resigned yourself to a particular direction without broadening your perspective.

Thus, you are invited to live in a state of seeking, not a stubborn pursuit, but one oriented toward the new, without resigning yourself to what you have already discovered.
